ISO/IEC ENQUIRY SERVICE

CERTIFICATION COSTS

We would like to clarify that although ISO develops and maintains the ISO 9000 series of quality management standards and the ISO 14000 series of environmental management system standards, it does not itself carry out ISO 9000 or ISO 14000 certification, does not issue certificates, and does not keep a register of certified companies. This is done independently of ISO by some 800 or more certification bodies around the world. Since the ISO Central Secretariat is not directly involved in the certification activities, we do not have sufficient experience to advise people on the practical aspects of their ISO 9000 certification including the costs associated with their certification. Please read the information section Choosing a certification body, to find out how to contact a certification body.

The ISO member is responsible for implementation and application matters of ISO International Standards and may be in a position to provide you with the information you seek or will refer you to an appropriate body.
