Information for the speakers

Introduction

Thank you for agreeing to participate as a speaker at the International Conference "Advancing public-private partnerships for e-business standards".
Please check the programme for the day and time of the session in which you are presenting. The online programme is regularly updated and contains the list of all sessions and speakers.

Each session is allocated to a chairperson responsible for introducing the speakers, controlling the timing of the sessions and facilitating questions and panel sessions.

The following guidelines will provide you with information and instructions to prepare your presentation.

General information

Presentations of general themes (Analysis, Supply chain, Logistics)

Speakers are asked to prepare presentations providing a high-level forward-looking perspective of the key business issues and market trends relevant to the topics addressed.

Business case presentations

Speakers are asked to prepare presentations highlighting examples of business applications based on implementations of standards, showing how the effective use of standards lead to changes in the way business is done, generating significant return on investment. Presentations should be focused on the business perspective and on the evaluation of practical experiences, and should not cover technical details of underlying standard(s) or promotion of proprietary elements of the solution.

Presentations concerning standards solutions and frameworks

Speakers are asked to prepare presentations providing an overview of the available international standards and the main standards programmes – highlighting how they fit in and support users and vendors needs and expectations.

Panel discussions

The panel discussions are intended to focus on current and future challenges and issues in the areas covered, and should be steered in the direction of exposing future requirements for the stakeholders, including standards development needs, policy changes and opportunities for business benefits.
